Snowfeather Muse Shawlette: Made-to-Order
Snowfeather Muse is a made-to-order mohair and silk crochet lace shawlette, handcrafted in your chosen shade from our suggested color palette. Its delicate, cloud-like halo and open-lace stitches create an airy layer with fluid drape and lightweight, breathable warmth without bulk. Sparkling crystal/glass beads add a subtle touch of light, or you may request a version without beads.
Materials & Details
- Craftsmanship: Crocheted entirely by hand in the USA using Lace by Lang Yarns, Switzerland.
- Fiber content: 58% superkid mohair and 42% silk.
- Color: Your chosen shade from our suggested Lang Yarns Lace color palette. The pure white version illustrates the design.
- Beadwork: Sparkling crystal/glass beads integrated throughout the lace pattern and along the border. A version without beads is available by request.
- Shape & dimensions: Oversized triangle, approximately 160 cm (63.0 inches) long and 73 cm (28.7 inches) deep.
- Weight & feel: Approximately 113 g (4.0 oz) for the beaded version, with an airy feel and fluid drape. Weight may vary for a version without beads.
- Seasons: Cozy, breathable warmth for late autumn, winter, and spring transitional days.
- Skin sensitivity: While exceptionally soft, mohair is not recommended for highly sensitive skin.
- Crafting time: Handcrafted upon commission. Please allow 10–15 working days for crafting and preparation before dispatch.
Ways to Wear
Wrap it around your neck on a crisp morning, then drape it over your shoulders for an evening out. The open lace and delicate halo add texture to everyday layers or an evening dress, with optional beadwork bringing a subtle sparkle.
- Front wrap: Wear the point facing forward and wrap the long ends loosely around your neck.
- Evening shawlette: Drape it over your shoulders and arms to showcase the lace pattern.
- Relaxed knot: Fold it slightly and knot it over one shoulder or over your favorite winter coat.
Handmade Finishing
Every commissioned shawlette is made entirely by hand, from start to finish. Subtle variations in size, stitch density, and bead placement on beaded versions are part of its individual character.
After creation, every shawlette is gently washed and hand-blocked to relax the silk and mohair fibers, align the stitches, define the lace pattern, and bring out the yarn’s delicate halo and drape.
Care
Gently hand wash in cool water with wool detergent. Handle any beadwork with care, then lay the shawlette flat on a dry towel to dry and preserve its shape. Do not iron.

Before You Order
- Color accuracy: We photograph in natural light. Screen settings and lighting can slightly change the appearance of yarn colors and crystal reflections.
- Measurements: All dimensions are approximate. The natural elasticity of handcrafted knitwear, individual stitch tension, and the fluid drape of the lace yarn can result in a variation of up to 5 cm (2.0 inches).
